How to Make Healthy Candy Apples

I wish I could take credit for this delicious Candy Apple recipe, but I can’t. I got this recipe from Chantal Marie of @Nutty4Nutrition Instagram. But you know I has to spread the goodness. Now, when you make these pretties, I suggest you make it a family thing. You know, get in the kitchen and decorate your candy apples with endless toppings. Then grab your  Health Candy Apple, Skinny Pop and your homemade pumpkin spice latte and watch fun halloween movies like Disney’s “Halloween Town”…Just a suggestion! Happy Fall!

Ingredients:

1 apple     1 Tbsp melted coconut oil    1 Tbsp Organic honey or agave syrup

1 Tbsp Nut butter (I used almond butter).     Toppings: Nuts, Cacao Nibs, Goji Berries etc.

I crushed a variety of nuts & added some crushed chocolate chips to mine. YUM!

Instructions:

First mix pour the coconut oil, honey or agave syrup, nut butter in a bowl and mix all of the ingredients together. Then roll the apple inside the mixture until is completely covered.

Next place the apple in the freezer for a few minutes. Once the mixture has hardened a bit, take the apple out and add another layer of the mixture onto the apple. Then add your toppings! Finally you’ll put the apple in the freezer for a few more minute, and then WAH LAH, your healthy candy apple.. TRY IT. DOOOO IT
